Elevate: Professional Development for Women in Healthcare

Mission

To empower and inspire female medical professionals to reach their full potential as leaders in the healthcare industry. 

  • We strive to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where women can develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to succeed in leadership roles. 
  • Our program aims to address the underrepresentation of women in leadership positions in the medical field and to improve patient outcomes through the promotion of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Vision

To create a healthcare system where female medical professionals are fully represented and valued in leadership roles. 

  • We envision a future where women are empowered to take on leadership roles, and their unique perspectives and strengths are utilized to improve patient outcomes and overall healthcare performance. 
  • Our program aims to break down barriers and provide the necessary support and resources to help women navigate the challenges they may face in their careers.

Who is it for

  • Small and Large Organizations looking to support and develop women in their respective departments
  • Early to Mid career professional staff who are active, engaged, and visible in their organization
  • Physicians, Nurses, managers, supervisors, directors, administrators, etc. 
  • Elevate is also customizable in which regardless of career/industry (health, corporate, secondary education, entrepreneurial) we support and aid in the development of professional staff

The 6 Elevate Sessions Curriculum

Session I: Introduction and Goal, Values, and Priorities Setting

This session provides an overview of the content and format of the program, as well as the expectations for participation. Participants will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their goals for the program. The facilitator will then introduce the program's goals and values, which will focus on developing leadership skills, building a supportive community, and fostering a culture of inclusion and diversity.

Session II: Emotional Intelligence and Mindful Leadership

This session will focus on developing emotional intelligence skills, which are essential for effective leadership. Participants will learn about the different components of emotional intelligence and how they can be developed and applied in the workplace. 

Session III: Influencing on Every level and Leaning into Difficult Conversations and Advocacy

This session will focus on developing skills in having difficult conversations, influencing others, and building strong relationships at every level of the organization. Participants will learn about different communication styles, strategies for handling difficult conversations, and techniques for influencing others. 

Session IV: Collaborative Leadership and Partnership

This session will focus on developing skills in leading and working in teams, building partnerships, and fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion. Participants will learn about different team dynamics, strategies for building partnerships, and techniques for fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion. 

Session V: Healthcare Leader Wellness and Work Life Integration

This session will focus on developing stress management, self-care, and work-life integration skills to maintain well-being and balance. Participants will learn about different stress management techniques, self-care strategies, and ways to achieve balance between work and personal life. 

Session IV: Next Steps as a Mentor, Sponsor, Leader, and/or Representative

This final session will provide an opportunity for participants to reflect on their growth and development throughout the program and to identify the next steps for growth and development as a mentor, leader, representative, and sponsor.
